Robert is an architect, environmental designer, industrial designer, and environmental technology entrepreneur. Over his 29-year career building sustainability-driven enterprises, he has been awarded Entrepreneur Magazine’s Environmental Innovator of the Year, the American Lung Association of California Clean Air Award, the Edison Award for Environmental Achievement, “Best of What’s New” – Popular Science 100 Best of 1993, Popular Mechanic’s “Top Ten for Driving Green”, InterPV Magazine’s Top 10 PV Picks for 2010, MIT Forum, San Diego CONNECT and awards from the American Institute of Architects, the Urban Land Institute, the US Green Building Council and many others.

James Torti, Ph.D.
President + COO
Jim is an accomplished senior executive with a broad career span that has included 10 years in the professional services industry, 12 years as a cross-industry business consultant and 15 years as an entrepreneur and company founder. Dr. Torti received his Bachelor of Arts from California State University, Northridge, his Masters and his Ph.D in Clinical Psychology from California School of Professional Psychology, San Diego (Now Alliant University).
Jay has been active in the financial industry for over 20 years and has successfully participated, directed or placed over two hundred million dollars of capital in start-up and early stage companies. He is CEO of GreenCore Capital which identifies, finances, and supports renewable energy and green technology companies. He has served as Chairman, President and CEO of Nexcore Capital, Inc. and its financial service affiliates since co-founding the company in 1996. He also serves as Founder and Chairman of Sterling Energy Resources, Inc., a public oil and gas company (Symbol: SGER) and as a director of EAU Technologies, Envision Solar International, Envirepel Energy and WoodFuels, among others.

Jennifer Rhymer, Ph.D.
Research + Development
Following her career-focus on composite structures with an emphasis on green composites, material reuse and recycling, Jennifer is charged with Noble Environmental Technologies’ research and development and the enhancement of the ECOR® product line. She attained her Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from the University of California, San Diego and is an active member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and the Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineers. In 2010, Jennifer was named a Fellow of the Bernard and Sophia Gordon Engineering Leadership Center at UCSD.
For over 30 years, Tim has served as Construction Manager for a range of high-end projects. He has been essential to the development of Noble Environmental Technologies’ first international manufacturing facility. He is Co-Founder of and Principal in charge of all construction operations for Newell FastTrack Inc., and was the Co-Founder and Vice President of manufacturing and process development for Gridcore Systems International. Newburn earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Maharishi European Research University Weggis and Seelishberg Switzerland.
Sales + Marketing Manager
Darlene manages the public relations, social media and community outreach for the company. Prior to joining Noble Environmental Technologies, she was the marketing director for San Diego Junior Theatre and an account executive for The Gable Group. Darlene earned her bachelor of arts degree in Communications from UCSD.

Vanessa manages the day-to-day operations, creating a company culture that is filled with cooperation and hospitality. She oversees printed materials, coordinates event planning for conferences and other company gatherings, and supervises an extensive internship program, acting as liaison to local university career centers.

Sales Director, Industrial Panel Sales
As the lead designer for the company, Matt is responsible for the management of all client projects. His responsibilities range from schematic design on projects scaling from sunglasses to habitable structures. He is proficient in Sketchup, Rhino, ArchiCad, AutoCAD, Revit, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, CorelDraw, VRay and Artlantis. Matt earned his Masters of Architecture from the New School of Architecture and Design.
David has more than 20 years of sales, management and marketing experience in the contract furnishings industry, and his clients have included Disney, Hilton, Universal Studios and scores of major retailers, architects, and commercial developers. He has expertise in the areas of materials, finishes, fabrication, and he possesses a broad knowledge base of sustainable materials and environmental issues as they relate to furniture and amenities. David is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, the US Green Building Council, AIGA (the Professional Association for Design), and the American Society of Landscape Architects.

Shannon Gonzalez, CPA

Abbey creates design elements for the company’s custom solutions. Formerly a Design Studio Specialist at Pottery Barn, Abbey used her space planning skills to assist clients with furniture selection, living space layouts and in-home consultations. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from San Diego State University and is a member of ASID and IIDA.
Sally is responsible for new business opportunities, including the 2013 collaboration with 20th Century Fox that created the first 100% sustainable set for their acclaimed comedy “Raising Hope”. She has a long history of strategic planning and marketing experience; she was previously Vice President of Universal Studios, Vice President of Marketing for Hanna-Barbera and Marketing Manager for Walt Disney. Sally earned her Masters in Business Administration from J.L. Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
